Sameera settles for oomph Hot Photos

Sameera Reddy became an epitome of oomph when she pulled all stops in Sanjay Gupta's MUSAFIR. Ever since then she has featured in variety of roles and worked across different genres. As she gears up for the release of yet another comedy of hers, DE DANA DAN, Sameera blasts the entire myth around Size Zero and skinny bodies.

You know, recently a lot of people out there are seen talking about skinny bodies. I am seeing actresses going skinny and end up thinking ki yeh kya ho gaya hai inko", she says in an amused tone, "See, Indian men like to see their woman in a certain shape and size but which brings on the oomph. But sorry, from a model body, you can't expect that oomph factor. This entire 'go skinny' route is not setting a good example for the Indian women.

But it appears to be the current requirement for actresses? "Kisne kaha? It's all media generated. When these actresses also blame it on the latest trend, I have the same answer that nowhere is this written; it's all media hype", she reasons.

Rattling examples of women from the past that have ruled the silver screen, Sameera says, "Look at Sridevi or a Kajol or a Madhuri Dixit - none of them went extra thin. In fact none of these women even bothered with how skinny they were. They ruled the box office and they are remembered till date because of their fantastic performances, not because of their make up and clothes."

Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Sameera Reddy promote De Dana Dan

The cast of soon-to-release comic film De Dana Dan starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Sameera Reddy were seen promoing their film.

The film, which is said to be the third in the hit Hera Pheri series, has certainly raised the expectation bar.

This time again one gets to see the hit trio of Akki, Paresh and Suniel back on screen but their lady loves have changed from Rimi and Bipasha to Sameera and Katrina respectively.

Priyadarshan is confident that De Dana Dan will draw crowds to theatres. The director says: "De Dana Dan is one of the most interesting movies that I have made. It is a good exercise for the heart in the way it has been scripted. You can't miss a single moment. If you sneeze, you would miss a shot and you would have to watch the film all over again." Some of his hit movies include Bhool Bhulaiyya (2007), Bhagam Bhag (2006) and Garam Masala (2005).

Sameera Reddy seems to be making her presence felt strongly in Kollywood. The actress may not have done that well in Bollywood but Tamil Film Industry are welcoming her warmly.
She made her presence felt in Vaaranam Aayiram and instantly earned a lot of fan following. This attracted the Kollywood producers to sign her for their projects. The actress would be seen paired up with Thala for Asal to be directed by Saran. Not only this, Sameera has also been signed by Gowtham Menon for his untitled film where she would be seen acting opposite newcomer Karthink. The shooting of the film has already commenced in Chennai.
