It's been 15 years since Sushmita Sen walked away with the Miss India crown and inspired generations of young girls to try their luck at beauty contests. Sushmita still continued to be the most stunning star in a room full of beautiful people at the 2009 Pantaloons Femina Miss India contest held in Mumbai.
Sushmita, who was a judge at the event, asked a contestant the same question that had changed her life all those years ago: 'What is the essence of a woman?'
Sushmita's magic answer to that one in 1994 was:' 'Just being a woman is God's gift .... The origin of a child is a mother, a woman. She shows a man what sharing, caring, and loving is all about. That is the essence of a woman.' Sushmita was accompanied by daughter Renee.
