Now it might be much ado about nothing for her, but for perfectionist director Ashutosh Gowariker, it did matter. Recently Deepika Padukone and her tattoo met with an awkward situation during the shoot of ‘Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se’.
How to hide it? It’s a permanent mark, a ‘RK’ tattoo inspired and designed after her ex-flame, Ranbir Kapoor, that too on the back of her slender neck. Deepika generally plays it safe by hiding it beneath her luscious mane so that it’s hardly visible. However, when she was shooting a fight sequence for Ashutosh’s periodic film with her hair tied up, the ‘RK’ showed.
The film is based on the Chittagong Uprising and deals with the pre-independence milieu; hence Deepu’s look is very different in the film, where she is paired opposite Abhishek Bachchan. As a source tells a tabloid, “It was embarrassing for Deepika when Ashu sent her back to the dressing room. She was flustered initially but then, she came out of her vanity van with a different hairdo that covered the tattoo and finished the sequence.”
If you have it, don’t flaunt it! That’s the tattoo effect.
